功能性奈米

邊際效應(margination effect)為粒子在血液中移動時靠近血管壁周圍的運動,此運動會受到材料形貌或大小之影響:如球形的材料在血液中移動時受到較少橫向的偏移力,因此球形材料在移動時會靠近血管中間;又如橢圓形或片板狀的二維材料在血液移動時會受到血流偏移影響,導致材料進行翻滾或旋轉運動,進一步使材料偏移到血管壁後貼附在血管壁進行移動,使材料積累在微血管較多的肺部組織中。
 
一般而言將奈米材料當作藥物或藥物載體會面臨到患部的材料累積量不足夠的問題,進而導致藥物嚴重的副作用或是不佳的治療效果。
 
在此計畫中我們將利用邊際效應對不同形貌材料的影響,使板狀材料標靶到肺部腫瘤。再利用氧化釓奈米材料可以作為核磁共振顯影劑與X光照後產生活性自由基的特性,進行核磁共振顯影引導輻射治療於肺部腫瘤的效果。
